The Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) hosted its sold-out SM2 Innovation Summit in New York City as part of Advertising Week last week. The must-attend event for senior brand marketers included the MMA’s signature award program, the Global Smarties, which honors the teams and talent behind the year’s most innovative and effective marketing campaigns. With categories like Marketer of the Year, Agency of the Year and Disruptor of the Year, the Smarties are ultra-competitive and prestigious in an industry marked by constant change and disruption.
This year for the first time, the MMA presented a new award category: The Impact Awards, which celebrate “industry executives who have devoted their time, energy and expertise to furthering the mission of the MMA and the industry.” DataXu’s own Priti Ohri, Director of Global Programmatic Solutions, was named a recipient of this inaugural award.
“It’s an exciting time to be a woman in technology, especially in the mobile marketing space as it’s developing into a major force for brands and agencies,” said Ohri. “Mobile has proven to be an invaluable platform to connect marketers and technology providers alike in a constantly shifting landscape. I’m very honored to receive this award, and am proud of the work we’ve done on programmatic marketing education for the industry. Mobile programmatic is essential for marketers as they seek to connect with consumers on their most important and frequently used devices.”
Ohri has been a part of the MMA’s programmatic efforts since 2015, and currently serves as the Co-Chair of the Programmatic Committee. She has worked to spearhead widespread marketing education efforts on the benefits of cross-device targeting, and has also been heavily involved in bringing DataXu’s multi-touch attribution and experimental design solution to the forefront as part of the MMA Marketing Attribution Think Tank (MATT) efforts.
She has spoken at several MMA events this year, most recently, the SM2 Innovation Summit with Adam Markey, DataXu’s Senior Director of TV Solutions. Their session, “Building Bridges – Strategies for Cross-Device Activation & Measurement Everywhere,” was well-attended and covered emerging cross-device strategies as a way to plan, activate, and measure audience-driven experiences at scale.
