More than 1,000 of the Boston tech community’s entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and philanthropists were out in full force to support the six non-profits vying for $20,000 grants! The attendees were tasked with voting for the NPO they found most deserving, which was no easy task with six great organizations doing such important work!
Voting was divided into two categories: those NPOs looking for a first time grant, and those that had previously received a grant and were going back for more. The new organizations present were Revolution of Hope and eventual co-winners Future Chefs and Science from Scientists, which the previous winners vying for the grant was Technology for Autism Now, Innercity Weightlifting and winner Build Boston.
The DataXu crew had a great time mingling, tasting and voting! Thanks to TUGG for hosting such a great event, and congratulations to the grant winners!
