This week, dataxu was part of one of the most exciting events in the advertising space: Advertising Week – New York! Every year, Advertising Week has a dominating theme and this year that theme was the impact of data-driven marketing and AI. For us at dataxu, we saw a laser focus on advanced TV across many of the various events and sessions, making it a must attend in light of our recent exciting TV activities. This year’s event did not disappoint with over 250+ workshops and sessions led by the best and brightest within the industry. dataxu made a big splash at the event with our very own Co-founder & CEO Mike Baker and Co-founder & CTO Dr. Bill Simmons both participating on panels as well as a sponsored cocktail party at the Empire Hotel following the day 1 sessions. Programmatic TV: Theory versus Practice

On day 1, co-founder and CEO Mike Baker spoke on a panel with Varick, VideoAmp and NCC Media to discuss where advanced TV is today as well as its future. The panelists talked through the different capabilities to look for when evaluating an Advanced TV solution. In dataxu’s case, that would be a unified planning and buying solution for TV (TotalTV™) allowing marketers to reach highly specific, targeted audiences across linear, connected and addressable TV.

Paddling Upstream: Charting the Course to Success in Automating CTV Ads

Day 2 was jam packed with sessions on new and emerging formats like digital out-of-home and connected TV. dataxu’s co-founder and CTO Bill Simmons contributed to these discussions during a panel on “Paddling Upstream: Charting the Course to Success in Automating CTV Ads.” He was joined on stage by OpenX, CBS Interactive and Inscape at Vizio to chat about the latest and greatest innovations in the OTT space as well as the challenges that come with adopting this emerging channel.

The content sessions may have ended but the day was far from over! That evening, dataxu hosted a cocktail party with TVREV at the Empire Hotel. It was a great event and allowed our customers, partners and friends an opportunity to gather together and reminisce on the exciting content discussed during day one (the beautiful view and great food and drinks didn’t hurt either!)
