To further support this commitment, we have been heavily involved with the Trustworthy Accountability Group (TAG)—a collaborative group of companies who strive to create transparency in the business relationships and transactions that undergird the digital ad industry. The group was created to help support initiatives that would move the industry forward together. In light of this goal, TAG set up certifications for industry players relating to fraud, malware, piracy, and general quality.
We are proud to announce that we have received all four TAG Certification Seals.
What are the four TAG certifications?
- Certified Against Malware: awarded for efforts to avoid perpetrating malware through the advertising ecosystem.
- Certified Against Piracy: given for preventing brand damage that can stem from ad placements on websites that facilitate the distribution of pirated content or counterfeit products.
- Certified Against Fraud: for companies working to eliminate ad fraud and combat the negative impact of fraudulent traffic by abiding by TAG’s guidelines.
- Inventory Quality Guidelines: awarded for adapting to a framework that was developed to improve trust within the marketplace, by ensuring that transparency is maintained through all touch points of a transaction.
Why is it important?
Concerns over the quality of media have dragged down the promise of programmatic advertising for too long. Brands, DSPs, SSPs, publishers, and all others involved in the programmatic supply chain need to work together to operate in a transparent way that provides value to the entire industry. TAG represents the industry’s group effort to move the industry forward. Each of the TAG certifications represents a key piece of this movement.
