Global digital ad spend is projected to grow from $65 billion to $200 billion in the next five years, and DataXu’s addressable market is predicted to increase from $5 billion today to $25 billion over the same period. Dodge will spearhead the next wave of DataXu’s expansion.
Dodge joins DataXu from enterprise CRM software powerhouse Salesforce.com, where he was Senior Vice President of Sales, instrumental in growing software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions for the largest media and communications companies in the United States. Previously, Dodge served in a number of leadership roles in the media industry, including Senior Vice President and Publisher of BusinessWeek. During his tenure, BtoB Magazinenamed BusinessWeek the Most Innovative Consumer Magazine Publisher.
“Salesforce.com is a meteoric success that shaped a market around CRM software-as-a-service, much like DataXu is accomplishing with digital marketing management,” said Mike Baker, CEO and co-founder of DataXu. “Geoff Dodge is one of the few executives who have built a successful track record spanning the media and software industries. As our customers look to transform their digital marketing efforts by crossing that same chasm, Geoff will be a valuable resource to DataXu and indeed to the C-Suite across our industry.”
Added Dodge, “Enterprises and agencies are recognizing the power of data and analytics in driving sales and meaningful long-term relationships. And DataXu has raised the bar for all enterprise software providers by enabling real-time decision-making from data and analytical insights to increase sales and competitive advantage. I look forward to contributing to the legacy of DataXu as we build a global company.”
