It’s been just over a year since DataXu came out of stealth mode at the TechCrunch 50 and rocked the online display world with the first and only real-time ad optimization platform. And what a year it’s been: we’ve connected our DSP platform to every major online display impression aggregator, opened data centers around the world, and on-boarded brand and direct marketing clients across every major agency and industry. We’ve been busy educating advertisers about the benefits of using a DSP, and building what many believe to be the most scalable technology in the industry.

Today we’re proud to announce the launch of DX2, the next generation DSP. When we founded DataXu, we started with a vision of what digital media will look like in the year 2020. We set out to create the “brain of digital media” that would help advertisers master this future. And now, we will start to show you how that vision is becoming reality.

DX2 leapfrogs the current first generation DSPs with powerful new features that enable advertisers to scale up their activity on ad exchanges. It begins with a simple user interface that automates the laborious manual workflow required by other DSPs. It adds a level of brand control not found in ad exchanges, including page level content targeting, brand safety filters, and consumer demographic targeting. And it spans digital media channels, just like consumers do, allowing advertisers to understand and engage their customers holistically across online display, video and mobile media.

What’s not changed is our unique real-time analytics and optimization, the core of our “brain”. This gives our customers an unfair buying advantage: only DataXu’s technology leverages an advertiser’s own media data to continuously discover and convert new customers.
