DataXu Welcomes New Additions to Board of Directors, Advisory Board


DataXu is pleased to welcome Mark Jung, former CEO of Vudu, as a new addition to our Board of Directors, as well as venture capitalist John Hadl and HP vice president of digital strategy Chris Curtin, two new additions to our Advisory Board.

These three highly accomplished digital media veterans have joined our team with the shared vision that DataXu is uniquely positioned to redefine the digital advertising ecosystem, and that DataXu has brought together the right team and developed the right product at the right time.

Mark Jung (BoD) has spent the last 20 years as a successful Internet media CEO and entrepreneur. Most recently, Mark was the CEO at Vudu, a leading provider of digital home entertainment and interactive television services that was acquired by Walmart in 2010. He is a member of the Management Board of the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and the Leadership Council of the Princeton University School of Engineering and Applied Science amongst others. Mark was also the co-founder and CEO of IGN Entertainment which he sold to NewsCorp in 2005.

John Hadl (advisory board) is founder and CEO of Brand in Hand, a full-service mobile media and marketing company that serves global brand marketers and assists emerging media companies. Since 2004, Brand in Hand has been responsible for more than 600 mobile campaigns for its various clients which have included P&G, Coke, General Mills, 3M, American Express, Best Buy, Lions Gate Studios, and many others. He holds a J.D. from the New York University School of Law and is currently a partner at the venture capital firm U.S. Venture Partners.

Chris Curtin (advisory board) is the VP of Digital Strategy at Hewlett-Packard where since 2008 he has been driving global awareness through existing and emerging digital channels. Prior to HP, Chris has been heading global media and technology at The Walt Disney Company. Chris is a member of the DMG World Media Board of Governors, Co-Chair for the Digital Collective, and a graduate of both Denison University and Georgetown Law.
