Yesterday, DataXu celebrated everyone’s favorite mathematical holiday, Pi Day! Pi Day, of course, is the annual celebration commemorating the mathematical constant π (pi), which here in the U.S. falls on 3.14 (March 14). Pi is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter, a constant number, so for all circles, of any size, p is the same.
Math and science are core to our technology here at DataXu (we were founded by MIT scientists who wrote the combinatorial language that guided NASA’s Mars mission plans, after all!), so we were excited to celebrate. And what better way to do that than with pie?
How did you celebrate Pi Day?
