Mike Baker

Mike Baker has been pioneering digital media platforms for 20 years and is a widely recognized thought leader in interactive advertising. Before co-founding DataXu, he was vice president at Nokia, where he created and ran Nokia Interactive. Baker came to Nokia through its acquisition of mobile advertising leader Enpocket in 2007, where he was the founding investor and CEO. Baker was previously a partner at venture capital firm GrandBanks Capital. He has also been executive vice president at Engage Technologies, an innovator in online advertising and behavioral targeting. An active angel investor in digital media, he is currently chairman of the board of Nexage, a mobile advertising solutions provider. Baker holds degrees in law and telecommunications management.

Edward Crawley

Edward Crawley, a co-founder of DataXu, is currently the Ford Professor of Engineering at MIT, and is a Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics and of Engineering Systems. He received an SB and an SM in Aeronautics and Astronautics, and an ScD in Aerospace Structures from MIT. Recently, his research has focused on the domain of architecture, design and decision support in complex technical systems that involve economic and stakeholder issues. He has founded and serves on the board of several companies, including Orbital Sciences Corporation (ORB).

Jeffrey Bussgang

Jeff Bussgang is a General Partner at Flybridge Capital Partners whose investment interests and entrepreneurial experience are in consumer, Internet commerce, marketing services, software and wireless start-ups. Prior to joining the firm in January 2003, Jeff co-founded Upromise (acquired by Sallie Mae), a loyalty marketing and financial services firm with 11 million members that currently manages $20 billion in college savings assets, where he served as President, Chief Operating Officer and Board Director. Prior to Upromise, Jeff was an executive at Open Market. Jeff holds a BA in Computer Science from Harvard University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Jeffrey Fagnan

Jeff Fagnan is a Partner in Atlas Venture’s technology group, and focuses on emerging companies in enterprise and internet infrastructure. Jeff also works closely with MIT, Harvard University, Boston University and other innovation engines, to commercialize technologies developed in technical labs. Before joining Atlas Venture, Jeff was a Partner with Seed Capital Partners and prior to that worked for Booz Allen & Hamilton and Nortel Networks. Since joining Atlas, Jeff led the investment in DataPower Technologies which was acquired by IBM in 2005. He was the founding investor, and currently sits on the boards, of Atlas portfolio companies AEB, Bit9, DataXu, Songbird and Veracode. He also sits on the Board of portfolio company SimpleTuition and led the firm’s investments in Keas and Mascoma. Jeff received his MBA from the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business at the University of Rochester and a BS from the University of Alaska.

John Jarve

John Jarve joined Menlo Ventures in 1985. Over the past 24 years, he has led Menlo’s investments in more than 40 portfolio companies, primarily in the communications, storage, semiconductor, Internet and financial technology sectors. His recent investments and board seats include: Aprius, Avere Systems, Librato, MobiTV, ParAccel, Parascale, PowerReviews and Zimbio. John was a lead venture investor in the following public companies that achieved successful initial public offerings: Ascend Communications (ASND, now part of Lucent), Cavium Networks (CAVM), Digital Insight (DGIN), FaxSav (EASY), iBasis (IBAS), SpectraLink (SLNK), Syntellect (SXNT, now part of Enghouse Systems) and UUNET Technologies (UUNT, now part of Verizon). John is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering) and the Stanford University Graduate School of Business (M.B.A.). He is a trustee of the Corporation of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the former chairman of the Stanford Graduate School of Business Management Board.

Mark Jung

Mark has spent the last 20 years as a successful internet media CEO and entrepreneur. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Playhaven and Songbird, and is a member of the Board of Directors of World Golf Tour. He is also a member of the Management Board of the Stanford Graduate School of Business, the Leadership Council of the Princeton University School of Engineering and Applied Science, and the Board of Directors of the League of American Orchestras, the San Francisco Symphony, and Right to Play. Most recently, Mark was the CEO at Vudu, a leading provider of digital home entertainment and interactive television services that was acquired by Walmart in 2010. Prior to Vudu, Mark was the Chief Operating Officer of Fox Interactive Media (FIM) where he was responsible for all of its internet properties including MySpace, IGN Entertainment, FoxSports.com, AmericanIdol.com, and Scout Media. Mark led FIM’s overall product planning, engineering, content, business development, sales/monetization, and merger integration efforts, overseeing more than 1000 employees. Prior to Fox Interactive Media, Mark was the co-founder and CEO of IGN Entertainment, a leading Internet media and services company for videogaming and other forms of digital entertainment that he took public in 2000 and then private in 2003. Mark led IGN’s sale to NewsCorp, the parent company of Fox Interactive Media in 2005.
